Du sprechen Deutsch sehr ausgehtzeischnet! Meine deutsche ist 'so la la'...
:(

er...i think i messed up the German grammar here! i hope my teacher doesnt know how i suck at this!
anyway, German verbs are supposed to be capital in the first letter and that too seems to be messed up here!
u dunno how ecstatic i am to find someone who speaks German! now i can practice! whee...!!
u can correct me coz i think ur way better at this!
:D

P.S:will read ur post soon! :)

--Sunrise-- said...

lol!!

yay!! that was fun (no not correcting you... typing German... lolz!) and hey... don't u mean German NOUNS are supposed to have caps? :S glad to meet another German learner too! tee hee... :)

@sunrise:
okayyyy...gurl, u speak way better German than i do. and yeah i know Harsh also knows German!
:D
er...cud u please translate ur above comment for me (cudnt make out the meanings of some words, tho i understood the gist of ur words!), coz am not very proficient...
**embarrassed look**
yeah i know its so much fun typing german! ;-)
i got a Deutsche test next month :((

--Sunrise-- said...

hehe... here's a rough translation...

first comment above: from the people on ur 'Fellow Bloggiez' list, i think Harsh knows German, and i think he can speak it better than me

second comment:
'ausgehtzeischnet'...? vielleicht meinst du 'AUSGEZEICHNET' (excellently)? (Dankeschön! :P) und: wenn man 'du' benutzt, wird die Verbenenden mit '-st' enden. also, es wird 'du sprechST' sein, m.W.... :P

i don't know what 'ausgezeischnet' means... (i'm not sure that word exists... :S), perhaps you mean 'AUSGEZEICHNET' (which means excellently)? (thank u v. much :P) and: when you use 'du', the verb endings will end in '-st'. therefore, it will be 'du sprechST'... m.W = meines Wissens... which means "as far as i know/am aware of"

:) good luck for ur test next month... ;)

Kay Vee said...

@ sunrise:
yep it means 'excellently'!
:D
wo! i am bad at the german verbs and nouns and the gender...feminine/masculine...
so that doesnt leave much to be good at!
:P

thanku!:)
which reminds me i havnt started studying yet!:((

I remember my first level German exams. I had no problem in the written papers, but the oral part was a...
Well, it happened to fall right after my last university exam, and I was in no mood to be grilled (or even be forced to sit through anything solemn) again. So I walked in totally disinterested and smelling of alcohol (partying for 16 hours on and off, what do you expect?).
The two examiners didn't know what to say after the first two minutes as I pointedly refused to make even basic conversation. One of them was my teacher (hell, she was expecting me to do better, I guess) and she was shocked to hear my one-word answers (mostly "ja" and "nein").
The other examiner probably thought my level was so poor that I couldn't comprehend his questions, so he switched to English. No luck, again.
He made a last feeble attempt:
"What do you think of when you hear someone say 'Deutschland'?"
Probably it was the residual alcohol in me, or post-exam euphoria or just a random bout of extra-craziness..But I answered:
"Claudia Schiffer und Bier."
And so I finished my Level-1.

I like to think my slightly above average score in the viva were earned by this last answer alone. (Just to convince myself that I wasn't THAT hungover..)

@harsh:
LOL!!
16 hours of partying?!?!?!? **gulp**
cant belive someone cant get bored of partying for so long!!!

P.S.: Wilkommen Wilkommen!
something that i shudve said at the start!
