Lately, I have observed myself getting more and more interested in photography and getting to know more about newer places on Earth.
My latest declarations to myself are to visit Ireland and Japan at least once... I dunno why but I have suddenly taken a liking to Ireland and Japan (i love the Japanese)-well, I have been watching a few Anime's (courtesy IAmit), but there is something about these countries that attracts me to them. Both of them being small countries and not very populated... The Japanese...the hard-working people that they are... there is something unique about them and that, I guess, is their culture! Atleast before I die I want these wishes to come to true. I hope that someday I do earn that kind of money to go globetrotting!!
I wanna go visit Germany too! DeutschLand!!! I loved the part played by Germany and Hitler in the World Wars... I once had a German friend named Ralf Engel!! He was soooo completely fascinated by India that he told me he used to come down here quite frequently and for every visit stay for 6 months or so just exploring and roaming. I love Indophiles!!
Well, before that, long back I had promised myself that I'm gonna go visit Egypt coz I'm so very fascinated by the ancient Egyptian culture and it's ways!! And other places on my list include visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (tribal population is fast disappearing),then there's Iceland too!! Iceland is one country which has got a really cool culture and some bizarre eating habits too!
OK some gyaan..
1. One of the favourite foods of Iceland - lamb testicles and rotten shark liver!! eeww!
2. The Prime Minister of Iceland has his number listed in the directory which has all the nation's citizens numbers' listed in there (in just one not-so-thick directory)!!
Well, yeah you must be thinking what the hell am I gonna do once I get there!! This is stuff you watch on television...! But I hope to learn something new... curiosity...Just these bizarre instances are enough for me to long to go there.
One of my many dreams and longings...
Sigh...
Here's a nice link I came across while surfing. Happy virtual Globetrotting!.
Hope you enjoy this!

Me happy in India, for the time-being, I just wanna walk around India, once...
cheers, muuah :)
You may not get to all those places, but the fun part about life is that it takes you some places you want to go and some you never expected, but then can't do without! I hope you get a healthy dose of both!
you "loved" the part germany and hitler played!!!!????,.... huh!! :P
kuch bhi...although saying that, if we ever met, ill tell you my nice long horrible theory about how hitler indirectly helped india gain independance. :P ( i dont claim its an original theory ) ... i know how you feel , i wanna go to amrika ( not as a desperate student looking for a degree, but as a visitor, a tourist ) and then to SCOTLAND and africa, and anatartica and egypt and kenya, and south amrika, and oh yeah brazil .. oh man.. hot busy nekkid chicks everywhere.. WOW!! :d:d:
wormtongue: sure, why not yaar!! we'll meet up and u can recount to me ur theory abt hitler and india's independence!!
but u cudve u just posted it here!
;-)
"Loved" the part Hitler played? Oh you must be referring to the part in which he killed millions of Jewish people? While you are at it, didn't you love the part in which another million people got vaporized in Japan? ;-)
BTW, I'm curious now -- what part did Hitler have to play in India's independence? Thought it was largely due to Gandhi and the endless WWII which shattered Britain.
yoda: yeah...i did 'love' the part played by hitler! oh...me not explaining!!
and nope i 'did not love' the part 'america' played in 'vapourising' another 'million people'.
and if u wanna kno how hitler helped india gain independence, i guess 'wormtongue' would be the best theorist here to explain that! i wanna hear that too!
and btw a lot of factors went into india and other colonized countries to gain their independence!
Hey,
I am in JAPAN right now. would like to tell u something more about them.
1. The people here are humble and honest to their work.
2. It is really an astonshing fact that even most of the people here don't know English, but still JAPAN' s technical and especially the aumobiles and trains(bullet) shows their leadership in the world.
But don't mind. Japanese work very hard. But I like Indians, as they work hard and enjoy also.
Egypt thou must visit - it figures in my list of to_visit as well..
Havent been to Ireland though - had reached till the wales coast, but thats the farthest west I have been to..
Yep... I'ma be getting a bit of the photography buzz myself... just started a second blog exclusively for that..
